来年への期待

英語の授業のテストがあった。
といっても、勉強は全然してなくて、当日に単語をちょろっと確認した程度。

それにしてはライティングもリーディングもほとんど出来た。
やっぱり、前期に毎日続けていたshadowingで身につけた基礎力がまだ残っているからだろう。
だけど、後期は全然やってない、ということは、そのうちがたがたと基礎力が落ち始めるはず。
英語を日常で使う機会が無いから、勉強する必然性も無くて、当然といえば当然の成り行きだけど、ちょっと寂しいようなもったいないような。

テストが終わった後に来年の授業選択の参考の紙が配られた。
単位的にはもう英語を取る必要は無いので、来年からはあくまで自主的に取りたい人だけが英語の授業を取ることになる。
なので、授業のレベルも格段に上がるみたい。

Advanced English:Techinical and Writing
Many departments except students to be able to read (and sometimes write) English research papers as part of their 3rd or 4th year seminar projects. In Technical and Writing,you will learn how to read and write scientific and techinical papers, starting from basic principles.

Advanced English:Technical Presentation
Most departments except students to be able to present results of their 3rd or 4th year seminar projects in the form of an oral presentation. Usually, this will be in Japanese but some departments also expect students to present in English. In Technical Presentation, you will learn the basic skills of oral presentations that are useful when preparing scientific and technical presentations in both English and Japanese.

English Forum
The content of English Forum courses will vary depending on the fuculty member. Some courses cover the basics of business English as taught at most business schools. Other courses focus on problem solving using familiar mathematics concepts, such as arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.

試しに配られたプリントをタイピングしてみたけど、寒いのと普段使わない指の動きをするのとで関節がおかしくなった気分、情けない･･･。

授業は三つから一つを選択するのが普通みたいだけど、全部に興味がある。
全部取ったらどんなになるのかなーなんて思ったり。
